Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk is one of the most outstanding young Polish sopranos. She studied at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wroclaw under Professor Danuta Paziuk-Zipser and at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna.


She made her professional operatic debut as Gilda in Rigoletto at the Wroclaw Opera and her international début as Cunegonde in Candide in Lucca, Ravenna, Livorno and Pisa. Her debut at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow as Queen of Shemakha in The Golden Cockerel by Rimsky-Korsakow was followed immediately by a return invitation to sing Die Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte. At the Bolshoi Theatre she also performed Feu, Princesse, and Le Rossignol in L’enfant et les sortileges. At the Theater Bonn she debuted in the title role of Lakmé.


As a resident artist of the Wroclaw Opera she has sung Lucia di Lammermoor, Gilda in Rigoletto, Adina in L’elisir d’amore, Nannetta in Falstaff, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Hanna in Straszny Dwor, Olympia in Les contes d’Hoffmann. Her operatic repertoire also includes Baronessa in La vera costanza (Haydn), Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Sofia in Il Signor Bruschino. She also has been invited by Opera Baltycka in Gdansk, where she performs Die Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte and Violetta in La Traviata.


In March 2015 she made her debut at the National Opera in Warsaw as Gilda in Rigoletto and in April she returned as Hanna in Straszny Dwor. During the season 2015/16 she performed: Gilda in Rigoletto in Warsaw and Wroclaw; Sophie von Faninal in Der Rosenkavalier, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Adina in L'elisir d'amore in Wroclaw.


During the season 2016/17: Gilda in Rigoletto in Trieste (opening of the season 2016/17), Sigismondo (Arminio) in Karlsruhe, Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Konstanze) at Opéra de Toulon, La sonnambula (Amina) in Trieste.


During the season 2017/18: Rigoletto (Gilda) in Poznan and Warsaw, The golden Cockerel at Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Alcina (Morgana) in Karlsruhe, Lucia di Lammermoor in Trieste, Traviata (Violetta) at Teatro San Carlo in Naples.


In the season 2018/19: Rigoletto in Novara and Sassari, and later in Warsaw and Poznan; Carmina Burana in Sassari; Alcina with Haendel Festspiele in Karlsruhe;  Gismondo, Re di Polonia by L. Vinci at Tchaikovsky Concert Hall Moscow, Rigoletto at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden.


In 2019/20: Händel's Arminio at George Enescu International Festival in Bucharest, Rigoletto and Traviata in Warsaw; Arabella (Fiakermilli) in Zurich.


In 2020/21: The Fairy Queen in Budapest and Don Pasquale (Norina) at Opernhaus in Zurich – both cancelled due to covid.


In 2021/22: La serva padrona and The telephone in Sassari, Arabella in Zurich.


She has worked with conductors such as V.Sinaisky, P.Eötvös, E.Boncompagni, J.Axelrod, S.Blunier, Ch.Moulds, J.Kaspszyk, A.Yurkevych, Ł.Borowicz, T.Kozłowski, T.Strugała, E.Michnik, P.Klinichev, M.Pijarowski, M.Klauza, J.M.Zarzycki, S.Chrzanowski.


Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk has an extensive repertoire of oratorio and concert works, Lieder and songs in several European languages. She has performed in concerts and festivals in Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, and Italy.


She also took part successfully to many competition: Special Prize at the International Vocal Competition in Toulouse, First Prize and the Award for the best coloratura soprano at the St. Moniuszko International Vocal Competition in Warsaw, First Prize and Special Prize at the Karol Szymanowski International Vocal Competition in Lodz, and in the Halina Halska-Fijałkowska Polish Vocal Competition, First Prize at the Solomiya Krushelnytska International Competition of Opera Singers in Lviv, Special Prize at the Toti dal Monte International Vocal Competition in Treviso, and the Prize for the youngest finalist and the Audience Prize at the International Vocal Competition in Malmö. She received the Jan Kiepura Award for the best female singer in Poland and the Wroclaw Music Award for excellent performances of the Wroclaw Opera House. In 2015, she also has been honored with the Award of the President of Wroclaw  for the outstanding  artistic achievements in 2014.
